These descriptive writing pictures are designed to help children to practise their descriptive writing skills.
 
There are 6 pages, each featuring a different animal (tiger, dolphin, parrot, fox, crocodile and dinosaur) and boxes which will prompt children to use adjectives and verbs to describe the animal's appearance, personality and movement as well as some prompts to encourage them to write down how they would feel if they saw that animal. 
 
This activity pack has been designed for Upper KS1 and KS2 children but, as they can either be used for key words or sentences, may also be suitable for slightly younger or older children.
